Project Description

On November 29th, 2012 GE announced its commitment to building the "Industrial Internet." The term speaks to the idea that by connecting the digital world with the world of machines, the Industrial Internet holds the promise of increased productivity, stronger economic growth and better living standards.

For the one day announcement event, Sub Rosa developed motion graphics that were deployed across bespoke screens on the stage and in the event setting. Included within the ten animations was a two minute video, projection mapped across five unique screens, that surrounded a full size decommissioned GEnx engine. The engine prop was present onsite during the event to speak to the twenty-plus sensors that capture real-time data streaming from the GEnx during its flights, this real time data capture allows GE to interpret the information and adjust protocols that lead to cost savings and preemptive maintenance.
